We have found it to be true that the loss of a loved one in death is one of the toughest experiences we have in our lives, leading to many questions. The Bible writer Job asked the question at Job 14:14: “If a man dies, shall he live again?” Perhaps you too have wondered about this. How would you feel if you knew that a reunion with Mr. Sargeant was possible right here on earth under the best of conditions? Would that not be lovely?
Well the Bible makes the promise at Isaiah 26:19: “Your dead ones will live…They will rise up.” The Bible also says at Psalm 37:29: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth and they will reside forever upon it”
To have real confidence in such promises, we need to answer some questions such as:
1. Why do people die?
2. Where are the dead?
3. How can we be sure that they can live again?
Kindly note that we are sharing this information with you as we are genuinely interested in persons like you who are faced with challenging situations, like the death of a loved one. We are comforted by other scriptures such as the one at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4, which reminds us that God is the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation.
It is our hope that someday, we could discuss answers from the Bible to the important questions posed above. If you are interested in learning more, you can contact us at the email address: nholder@caribsurf.com.
Again, please accept our sincere condolences.
In this time of sorrow, may God comfort you and grant him eternal rest.
He was well respected by all of us as we grew up in Dover and spent lots of hours at No 68 playing, chatting and liming. You made a difference to our lives.
Gone but not forgotten.
Wishing God blessings on the family.
