It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother

Hermie Margaret Ackie

aged 67, affectionately called “Mother, Afley or Ackie.”

who passed peacefully on Monday, August 15, 2016 at her residence in Barbados. Former resident of Zicack, Portsmouth, Dominica and Parliament Street, Grays Farm, Antigua.

Mother of Ashmore “Boyo” Aaron (Dominica), Ricardo “Rickie” Ackie (England), Anita “Anthea” John Carbon (USA), Clive “Cliff” Laville (USA) and Christaline Edwina Ackie (Barbados) Grandmother of Johann Anderson Joseph (Antigua), Nikita Warrington (Barbados), Dwight, Glenn, Rasheed and Sharline Ackie (all of England), Clavia and Chole Laville (both of the USA) Great-grandmother of Harmonie and Zaivion Ackie (both of England)

Special mention to nurses Donna and Melissa, Dr. Carlisle Goddard, Dr. Burrows, Dr. Haywood and staff of Coverley Medical Center.

The funeral leaves CLYDE B JONES FUNERAL HOME Top Rock, Christ Church on Saturday, August 20 at 8:30 a.m. for the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Lodge Road, Christ Church, Barbados where relatives and friends are invited to share in a Service of Thanksgiving at 10:00 a.m. The cortege will then proceed to Christ Church Cemetery for the interment.
